PRAS Course

PRAS Course
(Product Registration Application System)
This PRAS short course is being introduced to assist all concerned in the process of application for registration of fertilizer products – companies, consultants and individuals. Registration of such products is obligatory in terms of Act 36 of 1947 (as amended from time to time). It is anticipated that by introducing this course, the process will be better understood and more easily applied, contributing to greater efficiency and reduced application times and frustration.
It is recommended that persons applying for this module should have at least a background of Grade 12 Mathematics / Mathematical Literacy and Chemistry.
The course will comprise a distance module, with two assignments, a theoretical examination and a practical session in which an application for the registration of a product will need to be completed.
After registration, course material will be sent to participants. A Zoom session will be arranged to explain the process and identify challenges. The assignments will need to be completed to assess progress and the examination duration is three hours (one and a half hour theory, one and a half hour practical).
After successful completion, an attendance certificate will be issued.
Please note: The presentation of the course depends on a minimum number of five registered candidates.
